In collaboration with Brand Events Bicester Heritage combined to put together the Classic Car Drive In Weekend. The inaugural event will be held over three days from 18th – 20th September and offer enthusiasts, owners, film lovers and families alike the opportunity to get together and to share their passion for all things automotive.

After a long, hard Summer, it was good to see Classic and modern Car lovers together for an exciting and innovative new event. Set within the grounds of Bicester Heritage, The Home of Historic Motoring, Brand Events created a socially distanced, Covid-compliant outdoor event that celebrates Classic Cars in all their glory and brings two worlds together to celebrate Classic moving vehicles.

The Classic Car Drive In Weekend, features an homage to some of the most iconic and classic car movies at the very first Drive In dedicated to cars! Visitors can enjoy a specially curated selection of the best car movies of all time… from some of the greatest cult classics like The Italian Job and Days of Thunder, to celebrating ultimate racing legends in Senna, Le Mans 66 or Rush to adrenaline packed blockbusters like Baby Driver, Gone in 60 Seconds and of course Fast & Furious, we’re sure there’ll be at least one power fuelled movie for you!

The event had some of the most iconic road and motorsport vars on display, in total more than 500, 25 of the UK’s leading Car Clubs, top dealers, a live auction courtesy of Bonhams MPH, Classic Car Parades and track demonstrations along with a host of car related traders and retailers.

Highlight of the day for me was seeing the WRC rally cars of McRae and Grist's Impreza's on some hot laps around the oval shaped circuit at Bicester, next up was some touring cars from the eighties as well. The event is ticketed only but you might still have a chance to visit today or tomorrow, check the website at Bicester Heritage for more information.
