Old lighthouse on Seaton Pier, St Ives
Colourful oil painting depiction of the old lighthouse on Smeaton Pier, situated in the beautiful St Ives harbour. I was inspired by the characterful 1830’s lighthouse and the interesting details around its base as well as its industrial feel. After the busy fishing pier was extended, and a new lighthouse erected, the old lighthouse was no longer used but it still retains its historical charm. Painted with a combination of palette knife and brush with a white wood frame. Monogrammed on the front and signed on the back.
