Porthcurno Cliffs
Inspired by the dramatic cliffs along from Porthcurno Beach, this vibrant oil paint study is somewhat abstracted and focuses on where the cliffs plunge down into the sea. I was particularly interested in the large, colourful boulders, rocks embedded in the cliff face, and ones that had tumbled to the rocky beach at the cliff’s base. Painted with a combination of palette knife and brush with a black wood frame. Monogrammed on the front and signed on the back.
